No day is the same, and no day is predictable, either good or bad. Other than pre-scheduled meetings, “zooms,” or webinars, my patient care schedule is always full of the unexpected. As a physician, I find that my moods and emotions ricochet from feelings of endearment towards a newborn whom I examine to those of helplessness in attempting to counsel an adolescent with thoughts of suicide.
Now that I’m out of the military and advising clients on information security. I’m much more in touch with the continual technology changes, and wow, is it tough to keep track. Welcome to the era of everything as a service, and every service requires an application or app – primarily a smartphone app. I contend I may be even more deliberate in making a technology change, especially when it comes to smartphone apps, because of the security concerns.
AI Presents Endless possibilities across all Industries and Organizations. Applications and use case possibilities are limitless. They depend on the growth stage, status quo existing data stack, priorities, and budget. Industry, organization size, and personas can segment AI Use Cases. Determining the relevant data universe and identifying models to solve a defined challenge can be alike regardless of industry.
Up until very recently, I have seen polarization in society that has been associated with anger, judgment, and distrust. Whereas the response and the selfless efforts of our scientific and healthcare community to the worldwide pandemic have been unprecedented, it has also suffered from unfounded criticism and suspicions of conspiracies. Through my novice blogging, I hope that I will be able to share my love of medicine and the humble honor I have in caring for children. Through the reflections of my experiences, I will also try to engender a sense of wonder and interest in those who might consider a career in healthcare.
In a time when AI is considered the engine that will power the next age of human progress, failure to participate is no longer a viable business option. Companies that wish to digitally transform must understand that embracing the status quo will leave them struggling to keep up with competitors that recognized the opportunity before them.
